Child Prodigy Alma Deutscher Is taking The Musical World By Storm

Do you play any instrument? Are you a prodigy at it? Well, Alma is definitely a prodigy at playing violin and piano. She might practice every day for a long time! What might a music prodigy usually do?
Alma is like any other tween, almost my age. But she has a very good talent. She made her own sonata at age six, composed her first short opera at age seven and she made her own full length opera of Cinderella at age ten! She has been nicknamed as ‘’little mozart’’ or the ‘’next mozart’’. People call her music imaginative and unbelievable! Though she made her first own piece at age four and mastered the violin at age seven, she is still like any other tween, but just gifted.
Alma doesn’t have a television in her home! That might be shocking to you but she’d rather read a book or imagine how her next story would be or make believe with her younger sister, Helen. She is homeschooled and fills her entire morning practicing her violin or her piano. After lunch, she jump ropes and then has math and history lessons taught by her professor mother. She then takes a bath, eats dinner and sleeps at her bedtime, 8:30.
Alma first gained international attention in 2012 after a family friend posted a tweet comparing her to Mozart. She became a star overnight and it went all over the media. Her family became overwhelmed with the ‘’flood’’ of media requests. The nicknames she got make it like her parents put pressure on Alma. So, they just call her like a ‘’composer’’ or ‘’musician’’ even though she started writing full length operas at eight. She even goes for tours!
I don’t play the violin, but i play the piano just like Alma. I am not as talented as she is, but I play it really well. I’ve played it since I was six and was in Kindergarten. I try to practice everyday for thirty minutes and I just got a new piano! I have home piano lessons with my teacher every Thursday. I also try to learn tunes that my teacher didn’t tell me to do for homework. Someday, I want to be talented just like her.
I think she really plays for about two to three hours per day. Since she plays all morning, that’s about that long. However, I can’t practice for that long because i have to do other things as well. Plus, I’m not homeschooled. She seems very talented and she has an exquisite mind. I like her very much.
