Among Giants is a documentary about a guy who lived on a tree for 4 yrs to promote awareness about deforestation of trees. This is an Open Letter to him about how I thought about his great act. Enjoy!
Dear Sir,
It’s great that you are doing this grand act just to save the trees from being cut. You seem like a very brave and courageous human being! It looks like you are loving to the environment and the world. Now let me start on asking some questions.
Do you think your act may have been too risky or was it easy? To me, it seems risky because what if strong winds come and the branch brakes or what if you’re stuck in a storm. Taking your own risk is very brave. Another question I want to ask you is, did you get any injuries from the four years when you lived in that tree? How did you build your house in the trees? You probably used some sort of tent as the roof. The last question I want to ask you is, what would you do in your free time?
For me, I wouldn’t take the risk to live up in a tree for four years, but I will still care for the environment in a different, less riskier way. I can’t imagine you choosing to do this. I’m glad you chose to do it.
