A Poem
She was like a canvas
Although we attempted to throw black paint at her she managed to create herself living among the stars
I admit we have done bad
The only thing that satisfied us were the tall towers we managed to grow upon society
Leaving the presence of a thicket that used once to thrive there shriveled among the nuclear plants
I know there is little mercy to be found among us, that we have already agreed to go down fighting
Our views on her now reflect our wrongdoings
Look at the blood and guess who is holding the knife
Shouldn’t we be more amazed
Doesn’t the view just captivate your eyes
Yet we’ve never realized that the road behind us was stolen and now the future depends on us
To have come this long way and stand on two legs
To have developed into soldiers of our own dim-witted enslavement
Thy name is Terra
And please let the forest be glad we breathe
